Troy Parria, Of Counsel

Troy was born and raised on the bayou in a commercial fishing community, and will forever be grateful for his family and experiences that shaped his into the person he am today. From shrimping, crabbing, and oystering to operating vessels in the oilfield, those roots remain a defining part of who Troy is. The bayou is not just where he comes from; it is where he will always be anchored.

He is proud to be the first in his immediate family to go on to earn both a college degree and a law degree. Troy and his wife worked hard to make that dream possible, often selling shrimp, even in the law school parking lot, to help pay his way. He has spent his life on the water and in the maritime industry. While he is a lawyer today, he is also a shrimper and a licensed vessel captain.

He knows firsthand what it is like to lose work because of an injury. When you are hurt, whether in a vehicle accident, a slip and fall, on the job, or especially on a boat, it is more than just a case to Troy. It is personal.
