Rebecca Huskey

Rebecca Huskey practices family law, criminal defense, juvenile criminal defense, and Child in Need of Care (CINC) matters, including appeals of adverse findings involving the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). She is committed to advocating for families and individuals navigating some of the most complex and emotionally challenging proceedings in the legal system.

In her family law practice, Rebecca represents clients in custody disputes, divorce, child support matters, and adoptions. She understands that family law cases often involve high emotional stakes and lasting consequences, and she works closely with clients to develop practical strategies tailored to their goals and their children’s best interests. Rebecca is particularly focused on protecting parental rights, promoting stability for children, and helping families move forward into their new chapter. She also values the opportunity to assist families through adoptions, finding it especially meaningful to be part of a positive and life-changing moment for her clients.

An advocate for our constitutional right to representation, Rebecca defends adults and juveniles in criminal matters, including felony and misdemeanor offenses, DWI, and domestic abuse cases. As a former Assistant District Attorney, she brings valuable prosecutorial experience to her defense practice, allowing her to anticipate the State’s strategies and advocate effectively for her clients.

She represents parents in CINC proceedings and termination of parental rights matters, working diligently to guide families through the court system and striving toward reunification whenever possible. Her experience working directly with children and families in the juvenile court system informs her compassionate, family-centered approach to these cases.
